Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher believes the Reds under new coach Arne Slot are different from the former Jurgen Klopp era in terms of intensity and excitement in playing.
Carragher said: “The other thing I will say is that last season was a rollercoaster ride for Liverpool fans. It was exciting. You walk off the pitch with a last-minute winner or you come back from a goal down. It felt like every game was almost like a cup final.”
“But I think Liverpool need more of the games like last weekend (2-0 win over Bretford) because last season we were a bit too flashy, while this year from the first two games we’ve been more consistent. If you ask me, I don’t think Liverpool will be as exciting as Klopp’s. It’s almost impossible.”
“It will definitely be different. I’m curious to see how the atmosphere will be as the months go by and what the fans will say because we’ve felt a different atmosphere in years. ทางเข้า https://ufabet999.app But it’s going to continue and the results will tell.”
“Who knows? It could be successful because I think the way Liverpool played last season, it can’t continue. Being behind and having to score in the last minute to win, that’s not sustainable.”
