Ferdinand reveals why Man Utd shouldn’t sell McTominay

Rio Ferdinand, the former strong defender of Manchester United, revealed his feelings on his personal YouTube ทางเข้า ufabet channel about the Red Devils reaching an agreement with Napoli to release their homegrown player Scott McTominay from the team. The gist of the story is that Rio does not agree with the decision of the Man Utd board and explained that if the team wants to compete for the championship, they need a player like ‘McTominay’.

“I look at McTominay and I understand not all players are born superstars or stand out players but you need players like that to win trophies, like John O’Shea, Wes Brown, Darren Fletcher. At City they’ve got Julian Alvarez, maybe he doesn’t start every game but he’s been a big part of the team. You need players like that because they know the club very well, especially the ones who have come through the academy. There’s a lot I want to say about that.”

“I don’t agree with that. You’d have to spend £30-40million to replace a player like him, and you’d be paying £150,000 a week for a player like that. It’s not cheap and it’s a bit of a gamble because you don’t know what you’re paying for. But with McTominay, you know what he can do. Sure, he might not be a nine-tenth, but he’s a seven-tenth, sometimes an eight-tenth, and he can score goals.”

Scott McTominay has one year left on his contract with the Red Devils, which means United are considering selling him if he does not sign a new deal, with Napoli ready to pay £25m for him. Meanwhile, the Red Devils have a new target in Paris Saint-Germain’s Manuel Ugarte.
